Need A Break? Just Say Om...
You know you deserve a break, but how often do you take one? Daily, weekly, never?Well, we have an easy way for you to take a break every day, just by saying om. Yep, we're talking meditation, mama!Meditation is a simple way to connect the mind and body and give you a few moments of rest and peaceful nothingness.All you need is a quiet place, and yes, locking yourself in the bathroom does count, and five or ten minutes.Step One:Sit comfortably on the floor with your legs crossed. Use a pillow or cushion to support you. The Mobile Meditator is an inflatable, adjustable meditation cushion that's perfect for saying om anywhere. Light a candle to set the scene.Step Two:Close your eyes. Practice breathing in through your nose and out through your mouth. Breathe slowly in and slowly out.Step Three:Clear your mind. This can be hard to do until you’ve been meditating for a while, but try to free your mind from any thought (kids, bills, housework, all out the window).Until you get there, consider using meditation prompts, like soothing music, nature sounds or voice guided meditation. You can find awesome iPhone and iPad meditation apps, or search YouTube under ‘meditation music’ or ‘guided meditation.’Step Four:Sit, relax and breathe for five to ten minutes. If you have more time, go longer.Step Five:Repeat daily.
