How Parenthood Can Be Child's Play

I came across this TED Talk not long ago. Here, "child prodigy Adora Svitak says the world needs 'childish' thinking: bold ideas, wild creativity and especially optimism." She says, "Kids' big dreams deserve high expectations, starting with grownups willingness to learn from children as much as to teach." That's where playful parenting comes into 'play'.

With Father's Day approaching, this weekend seemed like the perfect time to share.

A young person herself, Adora shares her view on how the stigma of 'childish' behavior can hold adults back from really connecting with future generations. Her unique vantage point leads us to better understand how we as parents can learn from kids and how that can have so many positive implications for everyone. Take a listen.

A little nonsense now and then, is cherished by the wisest men. -Roald Dahl
