MOGUL MOM SPOTLIGHT- Chris Payne
WHAT’S YOUR NAME?Chris PayneCOMPANY NAMEPerspicacity, LLCTELL US ABOUT YOUR BUSINESS AND WHY YOU STARTED IT?After selling my previous audio/visual company last year (kenningar, Inc), I knew I wanted to do something that really fulfills me and that I am passionate about! It's one thing to have a business grow and succeed because it's a solid business opportunity, it's another to really make a passion project your full-time gig. This was why I started Perspicacity. I have such a wealth of expertise in business and people management, and I know what it's like to be an entrepreneur who is just starting out, floundering through information overload on the internet just trying to make sure you did everything you need to. I want to make that part easy, so people can focus on what they do best.WHAT DO YOU SELL?Business consulting services, from picking an initial entity type (and why you should pick one over another), to setting up accounting practices, finding free/inexpensive solutions to software needs when you're just starting out, to setting up full employment processes and inventory management systems.WHO IS YOUR TARGET AUDIENCE?Small business owners who are either just starting out, starting to grow, or unsure of whether they are properly operating their business.WHAT 3 PROFESSIONAL ACCOMPLISHMENTS ARE YOU MOST PROUD OF?Starting a business while being a full time single parent and full time student.Juggling a day-job successfully while also growing a small business.Having that business grow to the point that I could sell it and start my passion project, Perspicacity!WHAT MAKES YOUR BUSINESS STORY UNIQUE?It started with having a love of sharing knowledge. As I learned things in the process of starting my own business, I found myself being a subject matter expert for colleagues of mine, and people they referred to me. Some of which became paying consulting clients. Others, I just helped because they needed it and couldn't afford to pay anyone. While I had a successful company already, I found myself getting dissatisfied with the schedule (I was traveling all the time, which was very hard as a single mom), and wanting to do more of what I loved, which was helping people start their own businesses and make sure they were setup for success. So I sold that business, and now I'm in the very infancy of making this my real job permanently.HOW CAN WE FIND YOU?Email- cpayne@perspicacityllc.comFacebook- https://www.facebook.com/askperspicacity/Twitter- https://twitter.com/AskPerspicacityWebsite- http://perspicacityllc.com
