Mogul Mom Spotlight - Cià Gabriella Maurizio, Esq.
WHAT’S YOUR NAME?Cià Gabriella Maurizio, Esq.COMPANY NAMEThe Divorce Law CoachTELL US ABOUT YOUR BUSINESS AND WHY YOU STARTED IT
I am a Divorce Coach and Relationship Counsellor; I help women (and men) going through difficult times to ease the pain of divorce and separation What Do You Sell?: I offer divorce coaching and relationship counselling to people looking to separate. Too often, the cost of a divorce attorney is prohibitive and many women cannot afford to contact an attorney for regular advice and updates as it can cost them too much. I help change that vision by offering legal and divorce advice and information at a fraction of the cost to allow women the chance to have their questions answered without worrying about a huge bill at the end. I practice international divorce law so I am able to help women practically worldwide. I offer a friendly ear that listens to my clients problems rather than add to them.
WHO IS YOUR TARGET AUDIENCE?Women and Men; ages 25 onwards, either married, in common-law relationship, divorced or separating; with or without children. Most of my niche clients are both in the workforce, with some stay-at-home mums, and based mainly in North America, Europe and Australia due to my knowledge of international divorce law.WHAT 3 PROFESSIONAL ACCOMPLISHMENTS ARE YOU MOST PROUD OF?
1) Helping women getting through a difficult divorce and seeing a smile at the end of it
2) Seeing the children of divorce growing up healthy and happy despite their parents' separation
3) Seeing a divorced couple still able to hug and kiss each other with no animosity or hate Unique Story: I started off as the "typical" divorce lawyer; I had the lovely big downtown office, the fancy cars, holiday homes around the world and living the life while my clients were suffering through difficult times. I became conscious that what my clients needed most was a friendly ear to listen to their problems rather than just have a lawyer telling them "don't worry, we'll bleed your ex dry !". I realised that clients sometimes just need to know that everything will be ok; but a lawyer usually will never tell them that. They just want to get on with it and bill you as much as possible. Divorce is a very emotional time; I decided to change the way divorce law is practised and give women (and men) their chance to be heard rather than the lawyer doing all of the talking.
